Classic Schwinn Grey Ghost Stingray 5 Speed Krate
This is a really neat bike and my collection is starting to get out of hand and i cannot keep every bike in my collection so i need to sell a few off. This si a 5 speed bike which is a reproduction of the rare 1971 grey ghost schwinn made back then.
These reproductions were maed in 2004/2005. It has a 5 speed internally geared hub with a twist grip shifter. The original 1971 grey ghost had a big shifter on the top tube which is not allowed to be manufactred on put on a bike by the factory so that is why schwinn went with teh twist grip. Teh internal gears require a lot less maintence then the old 5 speed cogs and derailers. The bike also has internal front and rear sturmey archer brakes. These are fun bikes to cruise around the neighborhood on or just keep for an investment. Schwinn produced these in a limited run and most schwinn dealers only got a handful and the list priec was $550.00 i have seen several sellers try to get $1,000. 00 for these bikes but honestly the valeu is not there yet. Last week one sold on ebay for $525.00 but had pretty high shipping cost. I will do free shipping only with the buy it now. Shipping without the buy it now will be $55.00 continental 48 states. The bike is really a brand new bike for all intense purposes and has only check out time on it to ensure the brakes and gaers function properly. I cannot find any chips or scratches on it and the chrome is is the best i have seen on a reproduction schwinn( the chrome quality varies significantyl from bike to bike). I will partially disassemble the bike( seat, handle bars, front wheel) and carefully bubble wrap and pack the bike into a bike box for shipment via dhl. Please feel free to ask questions.
