Vintage Columbia 5 Star Superbklinedinst BicycleI have a columbia 5 star superb mans balloon tire bicycle for sale. It has 26 inch wheels. Dates to the late 40s early 50s. Originally sold by the legendary red klinedinst bicycle shop in york pa, which opened in 1909, and, i think is still in operation. They rebadged their bikes as klinedinst specials. This bike has not been restored, the original light and horn are still on the bike, and not corroded inside.Original seat though the cover is shot. There has been some brush paint touchup a long tmie ago. I don't think the rear wheel is original. Neat, unusual rack, i doubt original columbia, but the same era. There si rust on the stem chainring, etc. Has columbia script grips. I put a set of tires that i had laying around on the bike, look okay, but have smoe minor cracking in the sidewalls. The bike should probably be restored, but it looks neat the way it is, and if it doesn't sell, i will probably keep it as it is.
The bike is fro pickup only zipcode 21787, not far from carlisle, hershey, york. This bike needs to be seen to make sure it is what you want.
