Vintage Original Red 58 Schwinn Hornet Bicycle 261958 schwinn hornet, serial number l889202(dec, 1958). This is a really cool, original schwinn that's ready to ride. It's the average sized adult bike with 26 schwinn tubular s-7 rims that are nice and straight. The rear hub is a bendix one speed with coaster brake. Its original seat is nice, but has a little stitching coming loose on the front. The tank has no rust, but one side has some dents in it. I couldn't mkae the horn work. I'll let the new owner mess with it. Teh paint is shiny, but has scratches, chips, rubs and scrapes, the usual fare for a 50 year old bike. The front light is toast. Better to just get a new one. Also, wehn i got it at auction, it didn't have its rear rack. Could get a new one of those too, if so inclined. This is just a cool, old, oirginal vintage schwinn that rides great and will make the neighbors turn their heads when you cruise by! Will ship to lower 48 states of the united states of america only via ups fro $70. Local pick-up is fine also, in the fremont, ohio area. Payment due within 7 days of auction close.
Buying as-is, so ask questions before bidding. I pack bicycles very well to make sure your bike has the best chance of arriving unscathed(check my feedback on shipping). The wheels, fenders, handlebars and seat will have to be put back on when you get it. I also have the bike for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.
