Vintage Schwinn Bicycle 1968 Krate Stingray Muscle BikeHere we have a used 20 1968 krate. This is not a show bike! It's been done up as a grape and whoever did it did a pretty nice job, but it has it's share of scratches. The chainguard has been screened not a decal and i'm almost positive the seat is a pete seat. The front tire is an old import that has a gash and will hold air but should be replaced, the blackwall slick (no date code) has some sidewall cracking but is in pretty good condition non the less, it is an authentic schwinn with the small script. All the chrome looks to eb original in better than average condition. The sissybar has a bad spto on the inside of the left truss but thats the worst spot on the whole bike! The rear rim is a side stamp double knurl with one spot about 2 long on one side where the chrome is gone, no dings or dents, the front is a single knurl side stamp with one small ding, and the hubs are in good shape but the front atom has a small spot where it's pushed in slightly, not very noticable. As you can see an early front fender was used even though the fraems a '68. The handlebars have 7893 stamped in the knurl. All in all this is a veyr clean bike, i believe everything is original schwinn with the exception of the seat and front tire. All sales are final, please ask all questions before bidding.
